Vintage Stoneware Footwarmer Doorstop

Vintage Stoneware Footwarmer Doorstop

An authentic vintage stoneware footwarmer / hot water bottle, with a two-tone brown salt glaze finish, which nowadays would make for a great looking doorstop.

It features a raised design around the top, a brown ceramic screw fitting cap with rubber seal and a flat base.

This would have originally been sold at one of the 614 “Timothy Whites & Taylors” stores in England, that were eventually taken over by Boot’s the Chemist in 1968.

There is no manufacturer’s stamp on the piece to identify who made it.

Circa 1940, this piece is in very good condition for its age and use, with no cracks or chips, only minor manufacturing defects.

Dimensions: 25 cms l x 11 cms w x 14 cms h
