Vintage Bakelite Electricity Meter

We loved the face and dials of this vintage bakelite electricity meter, made by British Insulated Callender’s Cables Limited, who were based in Prescot, England.

British Insulated Callender’s Cables (BICC) was formed in 1945 by the merger of two long established cable firms – Callender’s Cable & Construction Company Limited and British Insulated Cables.

This piece is sold purely as a decorative item which can be hung on a wall.

It is in good condition for its age and use, with some light wear on the black bakelite case.
