Vintage Bakelite A.C. Voiltmeter

This vintage bakelite A.C. voltmeter, model 528, comes from the USA and was made by Weston Electrical Instrument Corp, based in New Jersey, who were established in 1888.

The company’s innovations included the Weston standard cell, the first accurate portable voltmeters and ammeters and many other electrical developments.

The bakelite casing has an unusual lovely mottled red colour and the voltmeter comes complete with its original black leather case.

We believe this was made in 1929, as our research led us to the Radio Museum, who feature the exact same model.

We are selling this as a decorative piece, which is in excellent condition.
