Antique Wooden Storage Chest

This characterful antique wooden storage chest, made of oak, was likely made in the early 1900’s and still feature the original brass handles, escutcheon plate and hinges.

The lid hinges open, making it ideal for the storage of papers and magazines in a living room, where it could double up as a coffee table, or in a bedroom to store clothes, shoes or accessories.

It has  a metal clasp for closing and two metal handles on the side, so the piece can be easily moved.

This is an authentic antique chest and bears signs of its age and use, with some staining on the inside, as shown.
