Vintage Adjustable Drawing Table

This vintage adjustable drawing table, sourced from France, bears the trademark of Unic-Studio, Paris and was most likely used in the 1940’s.

This remarkable, unique piece of furniture is made of wood and features the original working mechanics, with a counterbalance weighted base, making the piece transition very quickly and smoothly from a working drawing table, to a flat table.

It also has a multi level adjustable wooden level, with a small shelf, though it is missing one brass screw on the cable. There is also a well constructed storage box on the piece, originally intended for pencils, pens and ink.

The removable wooden drafting or drawing surface laid flat, is 120 cms w x 86 cms d and approx 98 cms tall.
