Pair of Vintage Wooden Shoe Lasts
This pair of vintage wooden shoe lasts, for a pair of ladies shoes, would make a great decorative item in the home, or would be ideal as a prop in a retail environment too.
These were made in the USA by the Sterling Last Corporation, which was founded in 1932, who were a world leader in the shoe last industry.
They feature the following marks, “Sterling October 1958, 7AA” and “COMO”, which is probably the style name.
We mounted a collection of vintage wooden shoe lasts in our hallway, which makes for an interesting piece of wall art and a conversation starter too!
A shoe last is a foot-shaped form used by shoemakers to shape shoes during manufacturing. It is also referred to as a shoe form, a cobbler’s last or shoemaker’s last.
This is an authentic pair of vintage wooden shoe lasts that have marks consistent with their age and use.
