Original Antique Rowntrees Chocolates Enamel Advertising Sign

A rare early 20th century original antique Rowntree’s Chocolates enamel advertising sign, which states “Makers to T.M. The King & Queen” (King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra), meaning it was made between 1901 and 1910.

This would make a fantastic and imposing piece of wall art, at over 1.5 metres wide, with the iconic Rowntree’s logo in a highly stylised white typography on a rich red background.

It is in very good original condition for its age, with a lovely sheen, with no restoration or repairs. There is some rust and light chipping around the twelve fixing holes.

There is a slight bow to the piece, as pictured, but would sit flat if screwed to a wall.

This is a stunning enamel sign which is the perfect size for the home, or in a cafe or restaurant, or in a retail environment.
