Long Ash Wood Refectory Table

Long Ash Wood Refectory Table

This beautiful hand crafted, long, ash wood refectory table was sourced from the South of France.

Refectory tables were originally used for dining in monasteries in Europe in the Middles Ages. The word “refectory” refers to the dining room in a monastery.

The table features the traditional central, low stretcher between two simply shaped ends, giving additional strength and support.

Ideal as a large family dining table, or a communal table in a cafe or restaurant, full of character.

It has been waxed and has lovely aged patina with rich, warm tones that would work well in most environments.

We have paired our vintage benches with the table, which work really well together!
