This large vintage Wheary suitcase, was made in the USA by the Wheary Trunk Company, based in Racine, Wisconsin, most probably in the 1940’s.
Featuring a two-tone outer, tan leather edging and a green silk lining, with the original Wheary label, this piece would be ideal for storage of accessories, like belts or summer/winter clothes when not in use, or could be used as a coffee table, perhaps with a smaller suitcase on top.
There are two lock mechanisms (no key) and a clear acrylic carrying handle, embossed with the Wheary logo.
Pieces of luggage like this, also work well when stacked on top of each other at the end of a bed, or to create a unique bedside table.
This well-travelled vintage Wheary suitcase bears marks, scuffs and scratches, which are consistent with its age and use and has a stain to one of the exterior panels.
