Large Vintage Stoneware Flagon

This decorative large vintage stoneware flagon is embossed with the manufacturer’s name, Port Dundas Pottery Co, Glasgow and was made for “Mackintosh & Mackintosh, Stirling”, who were likely brewers of ginger ale in the early 20th Century, when stoneware was very popular.

These stoneware pieces look best when grouped together in different sizes and shapes and bearing different graphics. Three or five pieces work best!

This is a good vessel for displaying foliage and would be deal in a kitchen, cafe or restaurant.

This is an authentic old piece and is in very good condition with no chips, but does bear marks consistent with its age and use.
